About Me

I’ve called Central Texas home my entire life, and I’ve spent over 40 years building, designing, and managing projects that make this community a better place to live. I started Sunset Company with a simple goal: to create high-quality pools, concrete work, and outdoor spaces at fair prices—delivered by people who truly care about craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.

My Background

I graduated from the University of Texas, where I also had the privilege of playing football. The lessons I learned on the field—teamwork, discipline, and follow-through—still guide how I run my business today. Over the years, I’ve worked closely with engineers and tradesmen on all kinds of design and construction projects, gaining extensive hands-on experience in every stage of the process.

How I Work

I believe that every job is unique. Each customer has different goals, ideas, and expectations—and it’s my responsibility to listen carefully and make sure those needs are met. I’m a very hands-on owner; you’ll see me on-site working with my in-house team to ensure every detail meets our standards.

No job is too big or too small. Whether we’re building a custom pool, pouring concrete, or completing a full outdoor renovation, my team and I show up on time, communicate clearly, and take pride in what we build.

I make it a point to educate my customers throughout the process. The more you understand what’s happening with your project, the smoother things go—and the better the final result. My goal is to deliver quality work efficiently, without cutting corners or surprising you with unnecessary costs.

We’re known for being fair-priced, reliable, and knowledgeable. Many of our projects involve complex designs, but thanks to years of experience and great teamwork, we complete them quickly and correctly.

A Little More About Me

I’ve been married for 35 years to my wife, who’s a dedicated school teacher. We have two kids who are now pursuing their own professional careers, and nothing makes me prouder. When I’m not working, I enjoy taking trips with my family, hunting, golfing, and spending time outdoors.

Before Sunset Company, I also owned several bars and restaurants around Central Texas—many of which are still open today. Those experiences taught me a lot about leadership, community, and customer service, all of which I’ve carried into my construction business.
